Goreti Marreiros

Goreti Marreiros é Professora Coordenadora com Agregação do Departamento de Engenharia Informática do Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP) – Instituto Politécnico do Porto (IPP) e Diretora do GECAD – Grupo de Investigação em Engenharia e Computação Inteligente para a Inovação e o Desenvolvimento. É Subdiretora do Mestrado em Engenharia e Inteligência Artificial (MEIA) e Diretora da pós-graduação em BigData & Decision Making no ISEP.
A sua investigação centra-se na área científica da Inteligência Artificial e dos Sistemas Inteligentes, com aplicação em diferentes áreas: Turismo (e.g. projetos GIGADESSEA, EKRUCAmI, TheRoute, GROUPLANNER, SmarTravel); Indústria 4.0 (e.g. projetos MANTIS, InVALUE, INVALUE_PT, NIS, PIANISM, CYberfactory, SECOIIA, Ferrovia 4.0); Cuidados de saúde e bem-estar (e.g.projetos como EKRUCAmI, PHE, AIRDOC, Inno4health, Secur-e-Health, FoodFriend) – Energia (e.g. DREAM-GO, FUSE-IT, M2MGrids, GREEDI, SIMOCE, CENERGETIC). É Coautora de mais de 200 artigos científicos publicados em revistas internacionais e conferências, e livros. Co-organizou mais de 20 conferências internacionais, workshops e seminários no domínio da Inteligência Artificial. Desempenhou funções de perita na Fundação para a Ciência e Tecnologia, Agência Nacional de Inovação, entre outras entidades.
Recebeu vários prémios internacionais, incluindo Best IBM demo paper na PAAMS 2022, Best paper ISAMI 2021, e Best Application Paper Award na EPIA 2017.
Goreti Marreiros é ainda Vice-Presidente da APPIA (Associação Portuguesa para a Inteligência Artificial).

Luís Caldas Oliveira

Luis Caldas de Oliveira has been teaching signal processing and entrepreneurship courses to students of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Energy Management Engineering, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering at Instituto Superior Técnico (IST) (University of Lisbon). His interests include speech processing and, particularly, speech synthesis and production, signal processing, internet-of-things, innovation and entrepreneurship. He has been involved in many research and technology transfer projects, sponsored by the industry, the Portuguese Science Foundation and the European Commission. In 1991 he co-authored the DIXI system, the first text-to-speech synthesizer for European Portuguese. Voiceinteraction S.A., a company he co-founded in 2008, sells a derivative of this system. From 1991 till 1993 he was a consultant at AT&T Bell Laboratories, Murray-Hill, NJ. From 2004 to 2009 he was the director in charge of administrative affairs of INESC-ID, a private not for profit research institute. From 2009 to 2019 he was Vice-President of IST for Entrepreneurship and Corporate Relations. Among other initiatives, he created TT@Técnico, the technology transfer office of IST, the IST SPIN-OFF Community and the Técnico Partner Network Program. Since 2020 he is in charge of the iStartLab, the IST Innovation Laboratory. He likes to read and to fix things, even if they are not broken.

Miguel Amador
Complear

Chief Innovation Officer at Complear, paving the way for medical device software regulatory compliance across the globe with digital tools and AI. Managing Director of Pi Ventures, supporting digital health ventures to navigate the innovation pathway.
Ph.D. Candidate in Bioengineering Systems at MIT-Portugal Program, focused on the design of new adaptive regulatory strategies and public policies for harnessing health technology innovation, from cell therapies to digital health, with better utilization of healthcare data.
Also, passionate by Healthcare Innovation Miguel worked with several health tech startups to bring their products to Market using innovative approaches and reach global scale. Before worked with Board of Innovation as a business consultant to make what life needs next, and prior EIT Health to build the strongest innovation network in Health in Europe, with more than 150+ partners. Miguel was the Manager of Health Technologies and Nano Technologies Programs at Startup Braga, bringing lean and people-centric approaches to support the design of products and building new businesses.
Previously also gained experience in Fintech, as Head of Operations at UTRUST (www.utrust.com), building the future payment platform using cryptocurrencies one of the TOP ICOs in 2017, working on the setup of team, company, banking compliance, product operations and growth strategy. UTRUST was acquired in 2021 by Elrond Foundation.
