Speakers biographies —
Instituto Politécnico de Leiria
Professor of Computer Engineering at the Polytechnic of Leiria, Licensed (pre-Bologna) by IST and PhD by UTAD. He has more than 10 years of experience as an international consultant in information systems with works carried out in Japan, Macau, China, Hong Kong, Brazil, Malaysia, Spain, Holland and Portugal. Author and co-author of several publications in books and technical-scientific articles, he was general chairman at the HCist conference and editor at the International Journal of Web Portals and International Journal of E-Health and Medical Communications. He was coordinator of the Healthcare Informatics course and is currently coordinator of the Master on Healthcare Information Systems Management course. His research interests include project management, software engineering and health information systems.
Project director at Thales, Licensed (pre-Bologna) in Computer Engineering and Computers from IST, MBA in management from Universidade Nova and Lisbon. He worked as a railway project manager at Alcatel and Thales Portugal, responsible for the implementation of the Project Support Office (PSO), director of railway signaling projects at Thales. He has IPMA level B certification. He currently performs functions of portfolio management for international telecommunications projects at Thales, in 15 countries with 26 projects under execution.
